Happy third birthday to thejerks.club! I've honestly let this website fall by the wayside due to an intense bout of demotivation I've experienced from August onward. Work has been especially hard to the point that I just can't bear to code or write outside of work. I'm far behind my one blog post per month goal, and the repository for my website is littered with unfinished blog posts. I'm hoping that during this Christmas season I will finish off some blog posts if I feel like it, but if not I don't really care too much.
It's been yet another uneventful year. The worst downtime this year was when I had the bright idea of trying to configure services while on vacation. I accidentally configured the firewall to drop all traffic, locking myself out of the server and making all my services unusable until I could get physical access to the server; a 1.5 week downtime. I also lost power in a bad outage and ended up corrupting my xmpp server yet again but this was a relatively easy fix. Otherwise, I haven't done any work on it and am still happy with the state of the server.
I have no plans to add or remove any services, so here's to another year!
